CSTE 5319 Group Software Critique Guidelines

Instructions:
Each team is assigned to a different web site (online free resources). Browse each link within the assigned site to evaluate the application. Write a team report with APA format and submit the report through Blogger.com. No more than 5 pages with double space for this critique assignment. You must include the needed references to support your team statements. The reference list can be the 6th page of this report. Your team must provide a proficient input to answer the following questions.
1.      Could this application be applied to any Instructional-Design models? Explain your findings.
2.      How do you value the design of the learning object? See the following guidelines:
·         How is the font appropriate for the audience?
·         How are the text and background colors complimentary to maximize readability?
·         How do the graphics facilitate comprehension of the content topic or learning process?
·         How do the graphics place appropriately on the page in a non-distracting format?
·         Is the learning object visually appealing?
·         Is there an appropriate amount of text on each page?
3.      How do you value the usability of the learning object? See the following guidelines:
·         Are clear and concise directions posted on the learning object?
·         Is the readability of the directions appropriate for the audience?
·         Do all links work?
·         Are the functions of the learning object intuitive? (Do the learners know what to do?)
·         Does the learning object provide for active engagement with the concepts or skills?
4.      How do you evaluate the credibility for this application? See the following guidelines:
·         Is the content information accurate?
·         Is the level of content information appropriate for the intended audience? (not too easy; not too challenging)
·         Is the text written using a professional format?
·         Is the text free of grammatical and spelling errors?
·         Has credit been given to creators?
·         Are appropriate academic references provided?
5.      How is the learning process incorporated in the learning object?
·         Are there clear learning objectives?
·         Does the learning object reinforce concepts progressively?
·         Does the learning object provide an opportunity to receive feedback on the intended knowledge or skill?
·         Does the learning object meet the stated learning objective(s)?
